Quilts for Peace - Sew For Charity
Thursday, July 21st - 9am to 5pm
Prairie Points Quilt Club is having a sewing day to make blue heart blocks for the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild. The DMQG is asking for blocks to make quilts for the victims and families of the recent police shootings in Dallas.
If you would like to donate fabric (either new, or from your stash), we will gladly accept quilt shop quality material. A 1/3 yard cut of a blue and a white fabric will yield several blocks.
Anyone is welcome to join us on Thursday, July 21st from 9 am to 5 pm.
If you are not a person that sews, you can help us by cutting and/or pressing fabric and blocks.
Food will not be provided, but there are several restaurants in the area.
If you would like to join us, please contact me via email and let me know what time you will be joining us. If you plan to sew, I ask that you bring your own machine and sewing supplies. The pattern will be provided on the sewing day.
