A Laura Heine collage quilt is all about playing with the fabric. You will layer fabric to create your collage quilt design. Prairie Points will have a kit available for purchase for this class. You may also want to bring along some of your own scrap stash. Learn Laura Heine's techniques to successfully create, secure, and quilt your work of art!
You will learn the process of Laura Heine Collage Quilting. You should be able to have your collage completed by the end of class. Suggestions on quilting and finishing your quilt will be shared in this class.
There are basic tools that you will need to be successful. You will use and need these tools for future creations also.
Requirements:
- Laura Heine Teeny Tiny Collage Collection 5 Pattern
- Laura Heine quilt kit (highly recommended as this will allow us to complete the quilt within our class time)
- Karen Kay Buckley medium serrated edge scissors
- #2 Pencil
- 17in x 24in Silicone Appli-Fuse Mat
- 12" wide Steam-A-Seam 2, (No Substitutes), 3 yards
- Pattern Ease Foundation (3/4 yard)
- Rotary cutter and mat
- Sack lunch
You do NOT need to bring your sewing machine.
