"Christmas in July" inspired Mug Rugs

These little mug rugs or candle mats are so quick and easy, you'll be addicted after making the first one!  Kit fee is $6. There are still spots left. Please call to reserve your kit.

9am - 4pm at the EP!C building in Peoria

Arrive early between 8:30am and 9am and start your day with coffee and breakfast pastries while you plan which classes you want to take. Each class lasts 25 minutes. You pick and choose from over 25 classes. You will only have time for 12 classes - so bring a friend or two to cover them all. You will get all the handouts from all the classes, even the ones you can’t attend. You will learn about new techniques, tools, patterns and the latest and greatest notions. 

No need to bring anything - we provide it all, including your great lunch and bottled water all day! Your spot is reserved with your payment of $50 which includes EVERYTHING!!!

Staff member of the week 
Patty Gallmeyer

You will recognize Patty as one of our great teaching staff!  She was co-leader of Quilt Club for 5 years and has always taught classes (some of you may remember her popular scrap club classes and Farmer's Wife classes, which she adapted to use the Marti Michell templates).  Patty has been quilting for about 8 years.  She bought her first quilt kit to make for her daughter when her daughter was a baby.  It sat in the closet for 9 years! She finally did make it - and as they say, the rest is history.  Patty loves to choose fabrics for a quilt and the piecing aspect of quilting.  She uses her Viking Sapphire 875 and Designer SE LE for all her piecing and embroidery needs.  Patty likes batiks especially in blues and purples.  

Some of Patty's favorite notions are the Marti Michell templates and tools.  They are easy to use and are multi-tasking tools. Patty has taken classes and studied under Marti Michell.  We are so lucky to have Patty as part of the Prairie Points family!  Look for future classes to be taught by Patty using the Marti Michell templates (if you have never tried using templates, this would be the class for you, they are great!).

Patty's words of wisdom for any quilting project is:   "Take a deep breath, put on your big girl panties and just do it!"
