Our "Teacher Feature" super star this week is Martha Dakin.

Martha has been quilting for 20 years. She loves planning a quilt - finding the right pattern, putting colors together, then piecing it. Her favorite patterns include Lone Star Quilts and patterns that use a star as the center medallion. She offers classes on the Lone Star, so watch for them on our website!
Martha teaches all our new machine owner's classes. She enjoys seeing how enthusiastic
new owners are about their new machines. She also loves taking difficult patterns,
breaking them down and making them easier for students to make, as in the Imari Plate
and Vintage Moments Quilt classes she has taught in the past. Click below to see the

Martha's favorite colors are purple, plums and lavender. One of her favorite notions is Soft Fuse fusible web which is great for applique - it is supple and sews beautifully. Martha says, "Quilts = Hugs that last a lifetime."
