Local Quilt Shop Day is a worldwide event designed to celebrate the
creative pursuits of quilters, sewists, fabric enthusiasts and crafters everywhere -
and to support the local quilt shops that make it all possible!!!
We appreciate all of our wonderful customers who have helped keep our doors
open in an unforeseen pandemic and continue to make our little shop the best!!!
Although we have had to curtail our 5th Saturday Demos for the time being,
we still want to do something special for you!
Come in on Saturday, January 30th and you can get a special bag to
do your shopping in. You'll get a 21% discount (because it's 2021) on
anything you can fit in that bag!!!

Kona Club 2021
Purchase the Kona Desk Calendar for the new year
and you are automatically enrolled in Kona Club!
Kona Club benefits include a 25% discount on the color of the
current month and a 15% discount on any Kona Cotton Solid any time.
Horizon is the Color of the Month for January.
This beautiful sky blue is Kona's Color of the year for 2021.
Announcing our Kimberbell Program for 2021
Fill-In-The-Blanks with Kimberbell starts this month!
Purchase the Kimberbell blank featured for that month
(such as a tea towel, tote, etc)
and receive a free design created especially for it!
Here's the design and chambray tote featured in January -
Prices on the "blanks" will vary and embellishments are a separate purchase.
All the details are available in the shop!
Carol is also planning a "Kimberbell Reunion" because she misses getting together
will all her Kimberbell peeps!! It is scheduled for February 20th at noon - right after
the BOM - and you can attend at the shop or by Zoom. Look for her email!
New Block of the Month started last week!
"Gravity" is a beautiful graded-color triangle block quilt by
Jaybird Quilts. Class will be held at the shop and by Zoom.
It will continue every 3rd Saturday until October.
The fee includes
1. A $15 class admin fee
2. A $75 Gift Card - which can be used to purchase fabric for the quilt or anything else.
3. The Gravity pattern book ($29.95) - New Shipment of the books are in!!
(The book includes templates, so the purchase of the Jaybird rulers is optional, but
strongly recommended! Kelly will be offering other
classes using these rulers too, like "Northern Lights" and "Science Fair"!)
My Favorite Color is Moda Quilt Along
This QAL started January 17 with fabric and color-way selection.
The sewing of the blocks begins in February. We have ordered fabrics for 4
of the color-ways. Many are back-ordered, but we expect to receive more next week.
We also have many of the Bella Solids you need in stock, as well as the booklets
and coloring pages to help you with this QAL.
Prairie Points Quilt Club Membership Sign-Up is going on now!
With Covid-19 restrictions, Club will be slightly different for the winter months.
We are exploring Zoom meetings so members will still be able to "see" each other -
and we can keep the same format with BOM, tips, "What's New", Show & Tell, and Quilt Club
specials. Members will also receive a 10% discount with any purchase anytime they shop at
Prairie Points. PPQC fee is $35. Please sign up now to reserve your spot.
Due to the Tier 1 Mitigation - we have had to restructure our classes.
We are working to provide alternatives for you-
such as Zoom classes - so stay tuned for updates.
